Welfare of Chinese students in England in the e vent
of war.
Refers to his letter of 5th July in (F 5283/3262 D) The Government evacuation scheme for certain classes of persons does not touch any of the students who are the concern of the Chine Institute. If the Foreign Office consider that arrangements should be male for the safety of certain foreign students and apprentices, it will be for the Foreign Office to consider who should be asked to undertake the task. Gives suggestions as to the courses the Foreign Office should consider, and gives an indication of his personal advice.
