Reference these Headquarters letter, numbered as above,

dated the 21st. August, 1939, on the subject of an injury

sustained by No.4451820, Private S. Lant, 1st. Battalion, The

Durham Light Infantry.

The attached proceedings of a Court of Enquiry held to

investigate the circumstances in which the above injury was

sustained, and Army Form B.117 are forwarded herewith.

A further report will be despatched when it is possible to

give the medical opinion as to the effect of the injury on the

man's service.
