Little change.

Reports from many scurces indicate

dissatisfaction and deterioration of morale amonget

Japanese troops in Hankow and adjacent areas. About

7000 troops have been shipped down river but more have

been sent up. Japanese advance against Shasi and Ichang

xpected to continue first week July. Chinese

vernacular press incites Chinese to demonstrate and even

seize French Concession but no anxiety felt by officials

at present.
