Law No. 10 (of 1939)

Article 1. The provisions of Articles 6 to 17 of

Law No.70 of 1899 are not applicable to Consular officers

resident in Manchukuo.

Article 2. Affairs relating to suits and to non-contentious

cases in respect of which Consular Officers resident in

Manchukuo have the right of jurisdiction at the time of the

enforcement of this Law, and registration affairs in respect

thereof, shall be within the jurisdiction of the Courts of

Law of the Government-General of Korea or of the Kwantung

Courts.

Article 3. Necessary matters relating to the abolition

of trial by Consular officers in Manchukuo shall, with the

exception of matters for which provision is made by this

Law, be determined by Imperial Ordinance.

Supplementary Rules

This law shall take effect from the first of

April, 1939.

Affairs relating to suits and to non-contentious

cases, and registration affairs relating thereto, which, at

the time of the enforcement of this Law, are being dealt

with by Consular Officers resident in Manchukuo, shall be

transferred to the appropriate court as provided for in

Article 2.

Acts and registrations relating to suits and

to non-contentious cases performed by Consular Officers

resident in Manchukuo before the enforcement of this Law

shall be regarded as having been performed by the appropriate

court as provided for by Article 2.
