Reported negotiation of Sino-German credit arrangement.

Learns from German source believed reliable that Otto Wolff's representative has been invited to Chungking by Minister of Communications. Visit is reported to be connected with negotiation of five year Sino-German credit arrangement on guarantee of Bank of China and it is rumoured that law agents in China are actively working for renewal of Sino-German Barter Agreement of 1936. Is asking Mr. Greenway to make enquiries on this point.
