Mr. Kasai: "If the production of raw silk in Central
China is increased in order to help the Chinese there,
would it not offer competition with Japanese silk ?
Why not exercise guidance so that they would not produce
the same brand of silk ?"
Agriculture and Forestry Minister Sakurauchi:
"It is
out plan to establish a seri-cultural scheme common for
Japan, China and Manchukuo so that there will be no
friction."
