conditions are very unsettled, also that the Japanese are
dismantling several oil presses and match factories
apparently with the intention of shipping the machinery, eta
to Japan. They have confiscated a large quantity of salt,
previously stored in godowns utilised by the Chinese
Government, also seized shipments of rice, matting, kepok
stored in junks, and are reported to be loading same to the
N.K.K. coaster, "Sungshan Maru" for transport to Japan.
