Japanese request for measures to be taken in view of hostilities on Kwangtung coast.

Has received note dated 21st June from Foreign Minister stating that purely Military operations to sweep away enemy troops are being undertaken on Kwangtung coast. Special care will be taken to avoid damaging rights and interests of third countries. Army hope British Government and authorities in China will co-operate to prevent accidental damage to British rights and interests.
