Japanese Consul General Canton informed British Consul
General on 14th that Japanese are undertaking operations
vicinity of our frontier. This is presumably in accordance with
promise to give us 48 hours warning. Operations are probably
designed to deal with guerilla and possibly those engaged in
bringing food to the colony.
