Fifth Field Regiment Royal Artillery is due to leave United Kingdom 12th September. In view of present tension in Far East it is not (repeat not) now intended to make even routine press announcement. In answer to press enquiries following brief statement of facts will be drawn on here.

Fifth Field Regiment Royal Artillery, which leaves the United Kingdom on 12th September on the EMPIRE FOWEY for Hong Kong, forms part of our permanent garrison in the Far East, and its move is a routine one, which has been planned for several months.
