In anticipation of the instructions of the Chiefs of Staff, a paper+ prepared by the British Defence Co-ordination Committee(Far East) on the practicability of the defence of Hong Kong in a nuclear context has been referred to the Joint Planning Staff for examination and report.

2. The 'B' Section is invited to prepare the required report for consideration by the Directors of Plans on 29th July, 1959.
