A number of items have continued to appear principally in Shanghai press in shape of resolutions by various associated cinema workers against expulsion. Peoples Daily carried item on 23rd January on the expulsion of further five Chinese, consisting of two cinema workers, two textile union officials and one representative of squatters. So far, however, we have not seen in the press, declaration referred to in the telegrams under reference.
2. There has been mention in the Peking press of allegations of guerilla raids reported in paragraph 3 of Hong Kong telegram No. 51 to Colonial Office.
