You wrote to Lord Lansdowne on 9th November, about Hong Kong.
Lord Lansdowne will I am sure wish to reply personally to your letter. I write now merely to let you know that he has been away from the Office unwell for almost a fortnight and that it may still be some time before he returns.
I will, however, draw your letter to his attention as soon as he does return.
