Council in 1953 as a Reform Club candidate and served until 1957 when he lost his seat. His brother, Dr. P.F. Woo, is Chairman of the Civic Association and an elected member of the Urban Council. Mr. Woo commands wide respect both as a solicitor and for his public service. He became an Unofficial Justice of the Peace in 1955 and has played an active part in the affairs of the law Society. He takes an interest in Social Welfare and has served on a number of Committees. He is at the moment a particularly useful member of the Public Services Commission which he will have to leave if appointed to Legislative Council.
He was awarded the 0.B.E. in 1963.
Mr. K.A. Watson, 0.B.E.
Mr. Watson stands out as an Englishman who has not only given useful service to the community but has made a permanent home in Hong Kong. He has served as a nominated member of the Urban Council since 1957. He became a Justice of the Peace in 1961 and received the 0.B.E. in 1964. He gives a great deal of his time to the Urban Council, the Housing Authority and the Advisory Committee on Public Transport. He is a man of energy and ideas and is not afraid to express them publicly. At the same time
he has his feet firmly on the ground and is sensible and level-headed. His appointment to Legislative Council would receive considerable support from the Chinese as well as the European community.
