I have the honour to refer to your telegrams Nos 975

and 994 of 18th and 23rd June respectively, on the subject of appoint-
ments to the five additional unofficial seats on the Legislative Council
which are due to be filled on 1st July.

To fill these seats I now have the honour to recommend
the appointment of the following gentlemen for a period of two years
as from 1st July:

Mr P. Y. TANG
Mr TSE Yu-chuen, OBE
Mr K. A. Watson, OBE
Mr WOO Pak-chuen, OBE

Biographical notes on these gentlemen were forwarded
with my letter of 5th June to Sir John Martin.
