17, Page 10. Small-arm Ammunition.-There is still an insufficient supply of small-arm ammunition in the Colony. The Colonial Defence Committee have already referred to this subject in their Remarks of the 3rd August, 1893, and the 21st November, 1894. It was also brought to notice in the Annual Report of the Military Commandant for the year 1894–95.

18. Page 10. Explosives Magazines.-Since the date of the last revision of the Scheme the magazines previously at Fisherman's Island have been removed to a site 20 miles from Brisbane. There still remain ten that would have to be emptied, and their contents removed to a place of safety on mobilization. As pointed out in the Colonial Defence Committee's last remarks, arrangements should, if possible, be made to avoid this. M. NATHAN, Secretary,
