8. In (C), page 14, allusion is made to Flag Signalling and Messengers. Some further information should be given on these points, especially as regards signal stations, and the manner in which the signallers and equip- ment required are to be provided.

9. The H.G. letter, 091/2009, dated the 19th July, 1892, quoted at foot of the Table on page 15, was superseded by H.G. letter, 091/2023, dated the 20th December, 1892, which informed the O.C. troops that the war reinforcements of two companies of infantry will be sent from the Cape, from the same battalion which furnishes the Company in peace-time to St. Helena, and not from home, as previously arranged. Also that the established strength of the two companies from the Cape would aggregate 220, all ranks, not 244.
