(c.) At Siloso one fixed beam of 30 degrees divergence across the mouth of the harbour clear of Passir Panjang and bearing on the approaches to the beach to the north-west; also one beam capable of being traversed to sweep the beach under Blakan Mati and to follow any vessel approaching Western Entrance.
Both these beaches are possible landing-places.
Under the above arrangement the installations are kept as far as possible to the side of the navigable channels so as not to interfere with their navigation.
10. The Colonial Defence Committee recommend that the Local Joint Naval and Military Committee should be reassembled to reconsider jointly the defence of the harbour of Singapore in the light of the foregoing remarks, more especially those contained in paragraph (2).
