10. Conclusion.-It has been decided that the Q.F. armament of each defended port shall receive precedence over the completion of the approved heavy armament of that port.

11. Recommendation of the General Officer Commanding for Armour- piercing Guns for the Inner Waters of the Harbour.-This subject was dealt with by the Colonial Defence Committee in their remarks of December 1893. They consider such guns wholly unnecessary.
