For

To enable them to carry out this responsibility the British members will require to base their work on the available papers of the Chiefs of Staff and of other sub-committees of the Chiefs of Staff organisation. this purpose the Staff Officers attached to British members of the A. M. C. should normally attend meetings of the J.P.C. when subjects which may subsequently require to be discussed with the Allies are under review.

7.

The A.M.C. will report the result of their discussions with Allied representatives direct to the Chiefs of Staff. When their discussion is based on a J.P.C. or similar paper, it will be desirable that their report should reach the Chiefs of Staff before they (the Chiefs of Staff) discuss the J. P. C. or similar paper.

The decision of the Chiefs of Staff as to whether modifications requested by the Allies can be accepted will be communicated to our Allies through the A.M.C.

8.

The A.M.C. and Joint Planning Sub-Committee should, on the initiation of either, meet to discuss any points which appear to require co-ordination and agreement.
