Note by the Secretary.
1.
The detailed results of the enquiry in paragraph 4 of Paper lio. A.D. (40) 17* are annexed hereto.
2.
It will be seen that there is a balance available under the existing credit of approximately £320,000, but that if orders are accepted for the further supplies about which enquiries have been made, an additional credit of approximately £1,000,000 will be required.
3.
The information contained in this paper is being transmitted to the Chiefs of Staff.
