(a) Permission for the movement ithout

restriction of uniformed and armed or such other military personnel as might be required in servicing aircraft, provisioning and sheltering of the personnel, and receiving and transmitting essential communications. In Juded in this would be permission to use the roads near the

airports and any arrangements necessary for provisioning and sheltering personnel at the expense of the United States when planes are required to land at any airfield.

(e) Permission for any air photographs that may

be necessary for technical reasons or useful in compiling navigation charts,

The United States Government has asked for similar privileges and facilities from the Netherlands Government · in respect of Curacao.

The United States Ambassador has also informed the Foreign Office that the War Department wishes to establish a regular air ferry service between Cairo and Washington on the route: Bolling Field-Miami-Port Rice--Belem and Natal Brazil-Accra Gold Coast- Kano Nigeria-El Fasher Anglo-Egyptian Sudan with alternative emergency landing fields at Trinidad and Carpito (Carupano) Venezuela. This service would be distinct from the aimeaft delivery:service and would be used to transport Government Officials and diplomatic mails,

They have, therefore, asked for permission for such a service to fly over the Gold Coast, Nigeria and Anglo-Egyptian Sudan with landings respectively at Accra Kano and El Fasher.

As the United States Government have asked for on urgent reply the Foreign Office request that this may be considered by the Chiefs of Staff as soon as possible. They hope that it will be possible to accede to the United States requests.
