(a) MILITARY REQUIRD)ENTS.
(1)
French Forces in Jibuti to be given freedom to opt for Free France.
(ii) Total strength of Vichy Forces to be maintained
in French Somaliland not to exceed 1,000 all ranks. This number to be inclusive of Police and Volunteer Units.
(iii) Only one Battery of 75s. (4 guns) to be included.
(iv) All additional troops to be evacuatod and
surplus weapons to be evacuated or rendered unserviceable.
(v) All French Aircraft, except a total of 3 potez
25s. to be removed or destroyed.

(vi) Present landing grounds in the neighbourhood
of Jibuti to be under British control. further landing grounds to be constructed in French Somaliland (or present ones improved).
(vii) Existing mine fields to be reloved by the French
and mines destroyed.
(viii)All prepared demolitions to be removed.
(ix) All explosive material and Cotonators to bo
detroyed or evacuated.
(b) NAVAL RE UİRTMENTS,
(These are not yet agreed with Naval Authoritics who are being consulted).
(i) British and Allied ships to have unrestricted
right of entering and leaving the harbour of Jibuti.
(ii) British to have the right to search ships ontoring
the port and harbour of French Somaliland.
(c) REQUIREMENTS FOR CONTROL OF JIBU I PORT.
(i)
The docks to be under a British guard and supervision.
(ii) Stores landed for the maintenance of the British
and Ethiopian Forces to be free of customs dues but an agreed rental to be paid for storage.
(iii) Other goods destined for Ethiopia to pay customs.
dues in accordance with the agreement in force between French and Italian Government prior to the war.
(iv) Handling charges to be paid for by the British
at the usual ratos, the French authoritios to be responsible for finding the labour.
