It will, therefore, be necessary to revise the allocations referred to in paragraph 2 above (all of which were required in terms of mobile equipments) and to allocate as far as possible static guns to meet overseas requirements. When these cannot be met in full, it will be necessary to withdraw mobile guns from Air Defence of Great Britain and replace these with static equipments. See paragraph 15 below.

It is anticipated that the 40 light anti-aircraft guns mentioned in paragraph 1 above will be found from production, making a total output of 345 during November, without interference with approved allocations.

8 heavy anti-aircraft guns out of the 24 approved for November were provided." There is, however, a balance of heavy anti-aircraft equipment over personnel in Middle East. This will be increased to the extent of the 100 guns earmarked for Turkey as it is understood that these are only likely to be provided if manned by British personnel. It is suggested, therefore, that the 16 mobile equipments outstanding from November be cancelled and that 20 static guns, which could be used at Ports, be allocated from December production.

Out of the 100 light anti-aircraft guns allocated for November, 36 were diverted to Iraq "ith 18 Light Anti- Aircraft Regiment This regiment was to act as the divisional light anti-aircraft regiment of 18th Division, and was diverted in anticipation of that division being sent to Iraq.
It is suggested that a further 120 light anti- aircraft guns be allocated from December production. This will offset the above diversion and may still leave a surplus of light anti-aircraft equipments over personnel in this theatre depending on the 'battle casualties' met with in the present operations. The surplus up to and including W.S.14 amounts to some 72 guns.
