Photographs taken by P.R.U. disclose a direct hit on the Bergen-Oslo Railway, 7 miles E. of Finse. Several craters are seen near the station at Finse and there is extensive damage to part of the upper storey and the roof of the hotel. It is reported by a reliable source that the Germans have evacuated the hotel.

Mining.

About the middle of November a German merchant vessel of about 3,000 tons was mined and sank in the neighbourhood of Sassnitz. The ferry service between Gedser and Warnemunde is run by two Danish boats. Through fear of mines both boats make the crossing, one leaving 10 minutes before the other. similar practice still continues on the Korsor-Nyborg ferry service.
