I suppose the

You will have seen copies of Angora telegrams Nos. 271 and 272; but I attach further copies for convenience of reference, question of whether and how the Turkish note should be answered will be considered by the Defence Committee. The sooner this is done the better.

I take it there are two points for

consideration:-

Are we prepared at once to send to- Turkey the sort of material she is prepared to receive, accompanied if possible by personnel disguised

as

"instructors"

" in mufti? The Chief of the Air Staff sent a memorandum dealing, inter alia, with this point to the Prime Minister on the 4th,

How far are we in a position to

accelerate the despatch to Turkey of the war material which we are pledged to sell to her under the Treaty?
