It will be seen that we have only been able to meet the principal items to a small extent. Furthermore, although we are recommending that the Greeks should order the remainder in America, there is little chance that they will obtain much from this source for many months.
As regards ammunition for the weapons we are providing, an initial supply has been sent with each.
Captured weapons are being supplied from Egypt, but these can only be regarded as a stop gap of limited value, as the quantity of ammunition available for these weapons will not last long, and spare parts for the weapons themselves can only be provided by "cannibalization".
