The War Office suggest that, as the reply from Australia to the Prime Minister's Telegram dated 23rd December has now been received, the attached Telegram* to Commander-in-Chief, Far East, should be sent, clarifying the position as to the authorities with whom he may deal direct.
It is proposed, if no comments are received from Service Departments by 5 pm3rd January, to invite the Air Ministry to send the Telegram.
