SECRET.

For Chiefs of Staff from Commanders in Chief. Reference telegram from British Minister Athens No. 20 dated January 3 to Foreign Office with reference to British Mission. In paragraph 4 it is suggested that consideration should be given as to whether the Committee referred to in the signal and consisting of Admiral Turle, General Heywood and Air Vice Marshal d'Albiac should be empowered to communicate direct with the Chiefs of Staff in London.

The Commanders in Chief do not agree with this proposal as the Committee referred to would have little knowledge of the situation in other parts of the Commander-in- Chiefs' respective Commands or of the resources available. Ends.
