With reference to telegram No. 1420 from Athens, the Prime Minister has noted thereon:·

"Foreign Secretary. Whatever happens we must
keep the use of Suda Bay.

The Foreign Secretary has reported to the Prime Minister as follows:-
"Prime Minister. I have your minute of 26th
December on Athens telegram No. 1420, in which you say that whatever happens we must keep the use of Suda Bay.
I entirely agree. I will make a note of what you say and take an opportunity of reminding Palaireto
