DESTINATION OF 9TH INDIAN DIVISION.

Memorandum by the Chief of the Imperial General Staff..

The Commander-in-Chief, India is now producing,. in consultation with the other Commanders concerned, orders of battle to enable the 9th Indian Division to operate in Malaya or the Middle Jast. In order to settle the composition of this Division, it is necessary that agreement should be reached as to its destination.

I have, therefore, attached (Annex) a draft minute for approval by the Committee and submission to the Prime Minister.
