Note by the Deputy Chief of the Air Staff.

Previous Reference D.C.0.3.(40)95(iii))

As arranged in Paper D.C.0.S.(40)95, I forward, for the information of the Chiefs of Staff Committee, the attached Progress Report on Decoy Schemes.

2.

It will be seen from paragraph 7 of the Report that the supply of materials, particularly such components as generator sets and wiring, is the governing factor in the progress of decoy work, and that delays have occurred owing to lack of the necessary priority for these items. I should accordingly be glad if the Committee would record their recommendation that these materials should be afforded priority 1A.

Richmond Terrace, S.W.1.

11TH OCTOBER, 1940.

(Signed) W.S. DOUGLAS.
