Remarks.
The estimates for Central Fort and Dock Wall battery are very approxi- mate; it is impossible to frame any reliable estimate till borings have been made of the ground. The summe are placed at higher figures than are considered sufficient on the spot, but it has been thought best to leave a wide margin.
Only 1 10-in. gun estimated for; the others are comprised in estimate for New Harbour, as also are the works.
