15. After hearing a statement by the Lord

Privy Seal, the Cabinet agreed

That the Lord Frivy Seal should be authorised to reply to the Organisation of Unionist Peers, who had approached him on this subject, that if a Motion is introduced in the next Session of Parliament asking for an Inquiry by a Joint Committee of both Houses to consider the carrying over to the next Session of Bills which have passed through one House and have not been

considered in the other, notwith- standing a Prorogation, the Government would accept the proposal.
