The Cabinet agreed

(a) That the Dominions Office should

be represented on the Standing Inter-Departmental Dommittee when any matter affecting the Dominions was under consideration, and that the Scottish Office should be repre- sented when matters affecting Scotland were under consideration:

(b) That the Home Secretary should have the right, if he thinks fit, to obtain the opinion of the Law Officers of the Crown on the question of the nature and extent of his powers in the matter of appointments to the College of Arms:

(c) Subject to the above, to approve

the Report of the Cabinet Committee (Paper C.P.-185 (28)), the recom- mendations of which are quoted above.
