The Chancellor of the Exchequer said he would

be satisfied with an arrangement of this kind.

The Cabinet agreed

(a) To confirm their previous decision,

quoted above, that facilities should be given for the passage of the Racecourse Betting Bill and the Whips should be put on:

(b) That a very early opportunity should. if possible, be found for dealing with the matter in Parliament:

(c) That the precise arrangements for implementing this decision should be left to the Prime Minister and the Government Whips.
