APPENDIX A
EXPORTS OF DEFENCE EQUIPMENT

(a) All figures are the value of estimated deliveries during the periods named, not financial receipt.
(b) Columns (1) and (4) relate to orders already received for most of which production has started. A few of the orders from the Sterling Area are, however, held in abeyance because the Foreign Office has not approved sales to the countries in question, or because the Services have been unwilling to release the equipment.
(c) Columns (2) and (5) relate to specific enquiries received and which will probably become firm orders if satisfactory delivery dates can be offered.
(d) Column (7) relates to other possible orders which, it is thought, could be obtained if prospective buyers were offered reasonable delivery dates. The division of these between Sterling and Non-sterling is a very rough approximation.
