Groundnut varieties

The main variety trial at the Kongwa Experiment Station tested 21 varieties, some of them after different pre-sowing treatments, on three lattice squares each of 25 plots. Each of the 75 main plots were split into four sub-plots for tests of broadcast fertilisers supplying N, P2O, and K.O in a factorial design, the NPK interactions being confounded with whole plots. Fertiliser effects were negligible and are not presented here.
