Mineral Development (Policy) Committee

APPOINTMENT OF THE COMMITTEE

NOTE BY THE SECRETARY OF THE CABINET

The Prime Minister has arranged for a small group of Ministers, composed as follows:

Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (in the Chair),

Secretary of State for Scotland,

Minister of Town and Country Planning,

Minister of Supply,

Minister of Fuel and Power,

Minister of Pensions,

Economic Secretary, Treasury,

to examine the recommendations of the Mineral Development Committee, which has recently presented its report to the Minister of Fuel and Power, and to formulate policy proposals for decision by the Cabinet.

This Ministerial group will consult, as required, with the President of the Board of Trade, the Minister of Works, the Minister of Transport and any other Ministers departmentally concerned with the subject matter of the report. The Secretary of the group will be Mr. C. A. L. Cliffe, Cabinet Office.
