Officers of the R.E. Supernumerary Staff, five sappers linesmen from the Fortress Company R.E., and two permanently employed Chinese civilians.

The O.C.S.M. will engage eight English-speaking Chinese coolies to be detailed as messengers as in Table Ě (iii), and will also engage coolies as necessary to assist the linesmen while connecting up.

Table E (i) shows the distribution of telephone operators for ordinary administra- tive work.

Table E (ii) shows the distribution of the R.E. Telephone Staff during the first day while the mobilization is being completed, which will occupy four to five hours from time the operators report at the Telegraph School.

Table E (iii) shows the distribution of all parts, including operators, orderlies, and messengers after all the telephones have been connected up.
