The arrival of a hostile squadron will be made known by the firing of three guns from the "Victor Emanuel."
The red British ensign will be hoisted at the masthead of the flag-staff at the Peak and the "Victor Emanuel" so long as the emeny is in sight.
On retirement of the enemy the Colonial flag will be hoisted instead. Civilians appointed to any military duties will be distinguished by a badge worn on the left arm.

(b.) Sanitary..
(c.) Commissariat
(d.) Messengers
Red cross. Yellow cross. Blue cross.
Green cross.
Further Proclamations will be issued as necessary from time to time.

Whereas war having been proclaimed between Her Most Gracious Majesty the Queen and
a Magistrate or Justice of the Peace will be in attendance at the Supreme Court and at the Magistracy to enrol :--
(a.) Additional members for Artillery and Machine-gun Volunteer Corps or Auxiliary Flotilla.
(b.) Volunteers for fire brigade duty.
(c.) Volunteers for Commissariat.
Volunteers for hospital and ambulances will apply at the Government Civil Hospital, or at the Military Hospital, Wellington Barracks.
Volunteers for sanitary duties will apply at the Sanitary Board Office, Government Offices.
