The works of the second line, other than those above, will be thrown up by contract labour under the R.E. of the section, simultaneously with those of the first line.
Thirty coolies will be employed by the R.E. on the second, third, and fourth days in bringing up materials for the magazine and block-house. Mat-sheds will be built by contract in about twenty days, viz.:-
Two mat-sheds for Europeans, twenty-five each. One mat-shed for Asiatics, twenty-five.
Engineer District. This section, like the rest in the Southern Defence, is in the B Engineer District, under the general Engineer supervision of Captain McCarthy, R.E.
Tools. The tools required are enumerated in Schedule XVIII (7), and will be issued with the camp equipment.
