Note on the Revision of Armaments at Hong Kong.

IN order to raise the strength of the military ports, coaling stations, and mercantile harbours to a level consistent with the improved armaments of foreign navies a Conference of naval and military officers was, by arrangement with the First Lord of the Admiralty, assembled by the Secretary of State for War, and the recommendations contained in a Report submitted in due course by this Conference were subsequently approved by him.

2. The following recommendations for alterations in the armament of Hong Kong were thus approved:--
