increase of strength will be fulfilled. Every encouragement should be given to the training of this corps, which should form a valuable source of recruits for the Volunteer Force.
8. The Committee are informed that the experiments referred to in paragraph 5 of their Remarks No. 421 R with cheaper devices to take the place of the sub-target apparatus have not yet been completed. They are therefore not yet able to recommend the purchase of such appliances for the use of the Hong Kong Volunteers.
