Mainland Section. The main depôt at Sacred Hill will suffice at the commence- ment of the war stage.
8. The rations stored at the above sub-sections will be held on charge by the Officers Commanding Sections and Fire Commands concerned, and will be treated as a reserve, only to be drawn upon in an emergency or at the direction of the Officer i/c Supplies. Should this reserve be necessarily drawn upon at any time, the depôt will be replenished to a full week's supply as soon afterwards as possible.
9. The Victoria main depôt will be under the charge of the O. i/c Supplies, while that at Sacred Hill, Kowloon, is in charge of the A.S.C. Officer, Mainland Section.
10. The Victoria main depôt will feed the sub-depôt at Stonecutters.
11. The Officer i/c Supplies will apply to Officers Commanding Sections for guards for sub-depôts formed after mobilization.
In the case of sub-depôts being formed prior to mobilization, he will indent on the D.A.A. and Q.M.G. for these guards.
12. Table G (v) shows (a) the supplies required for the European troops, and native troops, and the Chinese auxiliaries permanently employed.
(b.) The further quantities to be laid in, in case of expected war, to complete two
months' reserve.
(c.) The steps necessary for procuring such additional supplies, how and whence they are to be procured.
N.B.-(a.) Officers commanding Sections and Fire Commands will render annually to the Officer Commanding Army Service Corps, on the 1st March, fresh copies of Army Form F 756 for all transport required by their respective Sections or Commands for moving troops into mobilization positions at both precautionary and war stages, omitting stores and ammunition drawn from Army Ordnance Department.

(2.) Transport,
(i.) At the Precautionary Stage.
13. (a.) Table G (ii), shows the detail of transport required for the distribution of troops and stores to their allotted positions.
Requisitions made out in peace time, on Army Form F 756, are in the possession of the O.C. A.S C., who will cause the transport to be despatched to the several units immediately the order is given to mobilize for the precautionary stage. Consequently, it is of the utmost importance that any changes in the dispositions of the troops or armament should be at once brought to the notice of the O.C." A.S.C. as soon as decided upon.
(6.) The routine service of launches will be suspended immediately the precau- tionary period of mobilization is commenced, and the four W.D. launches, together with whatever hired vessels are necessary, will be employed in taking troops and stores to their destinations as laid down in Table G (v).
Directly these moves are carried out, the four launches will return to the A.S.C. pier, when they will immediately carry out the distribution of Ordnance stores as detailed in Tables G (ii) and G (iv). On completion of this service they will again return direct to A.S.C. pier, when they will be detailed for duty as follows:-
One launch will run at least twice a day to Stonecutters and Belchers. One launch will run at least twice a day to Lyemun and Devil's Peak.
The hours of these trips will be notified by the O. i/c Transport, in writing, to all units and Staff Officers in the garrison as soon as it is possible to fix definite hours.
