2. Dress: Field service marching order with 150 rounds per rifle, and two days'

rations.

3. The detachment will take tents and entrenching tools according to scale, and Maxim guns for Deepwater and Taihowan Bays respectively with 10,000 rounds of ammunition per man.

4. Kit allowance, 60 lb. per officer and 20 lb. per man.

5. They will embark in special launches at Kowloon Police Pier, in accordance with the approved time table, for Hong Kong, and proceed thence, after detaching escorts for ordnance stores, to their destinations by sea (Sanitarium and Wong-nei- Cheong detachments by route march).

6. Double Company Commanders will be personally responsible for drawing ordnance stores for all posts in the Island Section of Defence, in accordance with vouchers in the hands of the Chief Ordnance Officer, and for despatching them under escort to their destinations. They will also arrange to draw from the C.R.A. all Maxim guns (with complement of ammunition) to be manned by their double companies.

7. Signallers will be under the orders of the Brigade Signalling Officer.

8. Regimental fatigues will be furnished at Kowloon, and at posts on the coast. Indents for transport for ordnance stores, and for kits and rations for inland posts, are with the A.S.C.

9. On arrival all detachments will communicate with the C.R.E. of the section at the Sanitarium as regards preliminary defence works to be carried out.

10. Daily states and ration requirements will be communicated by telephone

through the O.C. section at the Sanitarium at 9 A.M. daily.

11. Garrison guards, on relief by British infantry, will proceed to Kowloon, rejoining their companies at the war stage or as required.
