He has authority over the movements of all vessels in the port and in its vicinity. Disobedience to his orders on the part of the masters will render their vessels liable at once to be treated as hostile.
APPENDIX (G).
Intelligence Form.
This form is to be used by the Examining Officers of the Hong Kong Examination Service, or other officers boarding British merchant vessels entering Hong Kong during war or a period of strained relations, and forwarded by them at once to the Senior Naval Intelligence Officer at Hong Kong.
Masters of all British merchant vessels are to be interrogated on the headings given below. If name or nationality is not known, give general appearance, number of masts and funnels, colour of funnels and hull, and whether battleship, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd class cruiser, scout, destroyer, torpedo-boat, cable ship, auxiliary cruiser, transport, or ordinary merchantman.
