(1.) Royal Garrison Artillery.
(i.) At the "Precautionary" Stage.
1. Os.C. companies and O.C.H.K.S.B., R.G.A., will at once make the necessary arrangements for the distribution of their officers and men in batteries, works, posts, and barracks, in accordance with the distribution table attached.
Details required to bring the numbers in the sub-districts up to the strength in the table should be held in readiness to leave Victoria Barracks and Kowloon at once.
2. Os.C. sub-districts will arrange to equip the shelters in the works with barrack furniture and utensils, as laid down in barrack schedules.
3. No requisitions for transport are required. Coolies for the transport of baggage and equipment will be supplied at the barracks and will be distributed by the Quartermaster.
4. The baggage of officers and men leaving Victoria and Gun Club Hill Barracks should be stored in front of barrack rooms separately by detachments ready for removal by the coolies. Care should be taken that the baggage does not get mixed. Baggage allowed :-
60 lb. per officer.
20 lb. per man.
The weight must not be exceeded on any account.
5. Os.C. will make their own arrangements for baggage guards.
6. The detachments already at Stonecutters and Lyemun will be moved into batteries under orders by Os.C. companies with the least delay possible.
(a.) Detachments for Stonecutters, Belchers, and Lyemun will proceed from their barracks to A.S.C. and Kowloon Police Piers, thence by launch to the nearest pier to their posts and thence by route march.
(b.) Detachments for Pinewood, Mt. Austin, Sanitarium by route march to high level tramway and route march to destination.
(c.) Detachments for Kowloon forts by route march from Gun Club Hill.
7. Men detailed to posts on guard or regimental duty will be relieved under arrangements to be made by the Adjutant.
8. Os.C. companies will draw 60 rounds of s.a.a. per man from the Quartermaster. 9. On arrival at the batteries the native infantry guard will be relieved by the R.A. detachments, and the guarding of the batteries will be taken over by the R.Ă.
10. A flying sentry will be mounted on each battery by day and a guard by night. Men detailed to P.F. cells and F.C. posts will sleep in their posts and be made responsible for their safety. Great care must be taken to protect guns, equipment, stores in batteries, P.F. cells, and F.C. posts from theft or malicious injury.
11. The O.C. headquarter company will make all the necessary arrangements for moving the 2-15-prs. stored in Victoria Barracks to their position at High West. The trolley at the low level tram station will be ready at
