6. The following is a list of signals approved by the Senior Naval Officer for communication from battery to examination steamer, when the latter cannot read the semaphore :---

With reference to cases where examination steamer has reported a ship “doubtful' and requires further instructions from the Chief Examining Officer.
NOTE.-It is not intended that the above code should be used for junks, nor will it be answered by the examination steamer.
