5. No requisitions for water transport or coolies will be required, as the Officer i/c Transport has information of the amount required for the move of the regiment.

6. All baggage and stores left behind will be stored by companies in the Quarter- master's Stores, and a guard of 1 n.c.o. and 6 men, which will also act as the regimental quarter-guard, mounted over them.

7. All other regimental guards will be withdrawn and will join their companies.

8. All guards on duty in the forts will be relieved by the R.A., and will join their companies immediately on relief, utilizing the empty R.A. transport for their return to regimental headquarters.

9. Bandsmen and all men on regimental employ will at once join their companies, the rifles and accoutrements of men sick in hospital being issued to bandsmen under company arrangements.

10. Cooks, bhisties, and sweepers will join their companies.

11. The O.C. No. 1 double company will report his arrival at the headquarters of his section, and take his orders as to the disposal of his men from the O.C. the Section.

12. Indents for rations will be submitted by 10 A.M. daily by the Os. C. detachments to the Os.C. their Sections of the Defence.

13. All coolies and water transport will be returned on completion of their move by Os.C. detachments to the Camp Adjutants of their Sections of Defence, escorts being furnished to insure that no coolies desert.

14. The trained signallers of the regiment are placed at the disposal of the Brigade Signalling Officer, who will detail them to Sections of the Defence. They should be equipped for service in the field under the conditions detailed above.

(vi.)-No. 3 Indian Infantry Regiment.

1. In accordance with O.C. Reserve Order No.

of to-day's date, the regiment will form the Reserve, and will move to the Rifle Range north-west of Kowloon City.

2. Dress: Field service order, khaki, water-bottles filled, and two days' rations in haversacks.

11,000 rounds of ball ammunition per Maxim gun, 100 rounds per rifle, to be issued by the Quartermaster, who will also at once issue all mobilization equipment on regimental charge proportionately to all companies.

The Quartermaster will issue ammunition under the following procedure: If sufficient ammunition is not available in store, he will first complete the pouch ammu- nition and issue the balance to the Maxim guns in equal proportions, and at once indent on the Ordnance Department for the amount required to complete the ammunition for the Maxim guns.

He will also indent on the Ordnance Department for the 1st and 2nd Reserve ammunition.

3. All men are to remain in the neighbourhood of the barracks, ready to fall in at a moment's notice.

4. In the event of being called out, men's kits will be limited to 20 lb. per man, and officers' baggage to 60 lb. per officer (excluding camp equipage).
